BAF DIPLOMA UNIT 1 LEARNING OUTCOME 1
You are to write a magazine article about a number of entrepreneurs. You are to base your article on research you will do for homework. You will have two (2) hours to write the article which will be done in class. The only notes you will be able to have with you are those in the tables below.
You need to research at least two entrepreneurs. For each entrepreneur you write about you need to show evidence of:
Personal characteristics, for example:
Charisma, leadership, enthusiasm, will to succeed, idea generation, problems solved, risk taking.
The impact of their entrepreneurship, for example:
Effect on our lives, the creation of jobs for people, impact on the environment, or the creation of other, related businesses.
The level of success the company has had, measured for example by:
How big is the company now in terms of value of total sales?
Over how long has this been achieved?
How international is the company?
The creation of a lasting brand/reputation?
You need to find out what the entrepreneur actually did to enable these things to happen.
You get to choose the entrepreneurs. Two good places to look for them are the Dragons Den website at the BBC and the Secret Millionaire website on Channel 4. Once you have found your entrepreneurs, use Google and Bing to find what you can.
